A beach micro-wedding like no other

Amanda and Anuj have been friends of mine for many years and it has been so special to watch their love grow. When they asked me if I would fly out to California to capture their destination wedding, I couldn't say yes fast enough! Their day began in the Hilton Hotel, a waterfront beach resort in Huntington Beach, CA

Amanda had the most stunning details (those earrings, HELLO!!) and wore a gorgeous Khaite dress that I'm still swooning over. Can we take a moment for the pearl veil!? How stunning!

First Touch

Amanda and Anuj decided to share their personal vows during a first touch on the hotel grounds. We were so luck to find this gorgeous corner (photographers will rejoice with me over the white stucco walls!) that was out of the way of other guests and very private. This was such a special moment between them and their love was palpable.

The Ceremony

The ceremony at Saint Simon and Jude was so special and included many little touches from Amanda and Anuj. Even though the church is big, the ceremony felt intimate and unique to the couple.

Portraits and Party

After the ceremony, we headed over to Crystal Cove state park for some portraits. Amanda and Anuj celebrated with some bubbly before we headed to our next location. Originally we were supposed to take photos with a vintage car (Anuj is a car guy) but unfortunately the car had mechanical issues and wasn't able to make it! Amanda and Anuj were troopers and pivoted to the backup plan... In-n-Out! I'd say it was a pretty tasty outcome! I'm so glad we were able to keep the spirits high and enjoy the day. Sometimes the wedding day doesn't go the way you planned it, but it ends up being the perfect day.
